Am I talking to myself?

James 5:16 Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Desperate Christian: I pray every day with sincere tears of repentance and praise to God, but only to feel my prayers hit the ceiling. What am I doing wrong? Is God really hearing me? Is He still there?

Been there: The Bible says our prayers avail much when we live righteously. It does not say sometimes they avail, but it is definite they will be heard by our God, Jesus Christ. You feel like your prayers are hitting the ceiling because God is testing your faith. Will you trust him, and will you believe his word is true? Unfortunately, many people do not pass the test. They become bitter towards God. He didn't save my parents marriage, my father still died from cancer, or the money is just not coming. Those are some of the prayers that God chooses to not answer our way, but His way is above are own. Will we trust His plan, His timing, and the ultimate outcome at the end of it all? The God that made you surely knows what is best for your life; trust him and don't stop praying.

Pastor Young and his wife are an amazing couple! They pastor a growing revival filled church. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else but the Rock Church. I love them so much. (left:meandright:myfriendanna)

All about Him

Before I can talk about myself, I must talk about my creator. He is master, savior, and father of all. He made you, me, and everything you see. The universe, the sky, the air, the trees are all apart of his masterpiece. He saved me and He can save you! His best attribute is His never ending love for all the world. His favorite thing to do is save lives. He doesn't have to eat because He is God. He doesn't sleep because He is busy healing, protecting, restoring, and blessing! His favorite stories are our testimonies about His saving grace. The Bible is His book, and it is a best seller. His best talent is being right on time. He has the best listening ears (He can hear all our prayers at the same time)! He robed himself in flesh to be born, but only to die for the ransom of our sins. Lastly, He is the only human to have power in His name, and that name is Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus oh! how I love that name :)
